Sir,—I think it is not widely known that the Military Service Pensions Collection is being continually updated. For those of your readers who, like me, searched for family records on the site (https://www.militaryarchives.ie/collections/online-collections/military-service-pensions-collection-1916-1923) when it first came out and found nothing, look again. I ignored the link recently when it was sent to me by a cousin, because I’d searched it a few times over the years and there was nothing there. But all of a sudden the military pensions of my grandfather and his two brothers were on the site. I don’t know why the additions haven’t been advertised. Maybe they mention it somewhere in the small print. But for anyone who searched early on and moved on when they found nothing, it’s worth checking it again.—Yours etc.,
