Volume III of the UCG Women’s Studies Centre Review, edited by Pat Byrne, Jane Conroy and Alan Hayes, is now available and contains eighteen papers on a broad range of subjects. Of particular interest to readers of History Ireland are ‘The status of women in medieval Ireland’ (Aoife de Paor), ‘Galway women’s suffrage campaign’ (Mary Clancy), ‘Lady Morgan and feminism’ (Rita O’Dwyer), ‘Athenian women’ (Brian Arkins), and ‘Witches and gender’ (James Lewton-Brain).
