Sir,—A small correction is due to Damien McLelland’s otherwise accurate and informative article on Frongoch internment camp (HI 34.2, May/June 2026). The surviving hut pictured on p. 8 is not actually on the site. This particular hut was bought and relocated to a farm about a mile away when the camp closed in 1920, after the last German prisoners had been released. It was used as holiday accommodation for several years before its deterioration. I live on part of the site where the internment camp stood in a disused whisky distillery; a primary school occupies the rest of the site.
