Let Ireland Remember

To commemorate the eightieth anniversary of the ending of the Great War, the Royal Dublin Fusiliers Association will be organising a series of public lectures (see ‘Events’ p. 4) and an exhibition of personal stories and memorabilia belonging to Irish men and women who took part in this terrible tragedy. The purpose of the exhibition, Let Ireland Remember, will be to present the human story as distinct from the military history of the men and women in Irish regiments and VAD units which took part in the Great War. The exhibition will be on display at the Dublin Civic Museum, 58 South William Street, from September 1998 to January 1999 and will be launched by President Mary MacAleese on 8 September.
